Koombana Financial
Advice Process
At Koombana Financial, our advice process is designed to help you gain clarity, confidence, and control over your financial future. Each stage is structured to ensure we fully understand your goals and provide advice tailored to your unique circumstances.
Initial Discovery Meeting
Our first meeting is an opportunity to get to know you and understand what is most important to you — your goals, priorities, and concerns. We will discuss your current financial situation and outline how Koombana Financial can assist. This is also a chance for you to learn more about our services, advice process, and fees before deciding whether to proceed.
Fact-Finding Process
Once you decide to move forward, we will gather detailed information about your financial position. This includes your income, assets, liabilities, superannuation, investments, insurance, and estate planning arrangements. The purpose of this step is to ensure we have a complete picture of your situation so that our advice is accurate, compliant, and in your best interests.
Proposal Meeting
After analysing your financial data, we will meet to present a high-level proposal outlining potential strategies that align with your goals. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss possible directions, clarify your objectives, and confirm the scope of advice before we proceed to formal preparation.
Advice Preparation
During this stage, we prepare your personalised financial plan — known as a Statement of Advice (SOA). This document outlines our recommendations, the reasoning behind them, and the potential benefits and risks. It is carefully developed to align with your financial goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term objectives.
Advice Presentation Meeting
We will meet again to present your Statement of Advice in detail. We take the time to explain each recommendation, answer your questions, and ensure you feel fully informed and confident about the proposed strategies. We will only proceed once you are comfortable with the plan.
Implementation
Once you approve the advice, our team will coordinate the implementation of the recommended strategies. This may include establishing new investments, consolidating superannuation, adjusting insurance cover, or liaising with accountants, solicitors, and other professionals to ensure everything is actioned correctly.
Ongoing Review
Financial planning is not a one-time event. We provide ongoing reviews to ensure your plan remains aligned with your goals, legislation changes, and evolving personal circumstances. These regular check-ins help keep you on track and confident that your financial strategy continues to work for you.
